Francis Visagie-Brooks is an artist living and working in London. She produces paintings and resin sculptures, using a combination of raw pigments, mixed textiles, acrylic and oil paint.  Visagie-Brooks examines the nature of potential — asking how we conceive of what we cannot quite imagine, something transparent and slippery?

In 2023, she completed the Turps Offsite Painting Programme, having previously graduated with a BA in Philosophy, from Birkbeck, University of London. Visagie-Brooks’ background in philosophy has influenced her approach to art, particularly her keen interest in how we conceive of the ambiguity of potential futures. In the last year her work has been exhibited at various galleries in London, including at Hypha Gallery, RuptureXIBIT Gallery and Thamesside Gallery.
